Who Am I?
My name is Ryan Gunn and I am from Ontario, Canada. I have been a massive fan of Harry Potter since I read the first book in 2000. My best friend and I would read the new books as soon as they were released. We would also go to the movie theatre on the very first day whenever the new movies came out.
It is something that played a large part of my childhood. I remember being a part of various RPG forums over the years. I would take their sorting quiz and pretend that I was a student at Hogwarts like my favorite characters. The Wizarding World was always a place for me to escape and to help bring out my imagination.
I have been a blogger since 2015. My first website was IWNerd.com, which is about the world of professional wrestling. After finding success with that, I decided to expand and create more niche sites. Naturally, I decided to create one based on Harry Potter. I love quizzes and had some success with some wrestling ones, so PotterQuizzes.com was born.
Here are some quick questions and answers.
Who Is Your Favorite Character?
I am not going to with the chalk answer and select one of the Golden Trio (even though they are all great). Also, we all know how great (and deep) of a character that Professor Snape was, so I don’t need to even say it.
I would probably say Luna Lovegood is my favorite character. She is so pure and sweet, that it is hard not to be a fan. Even though she isn’t introduced until later on in the series, she has many great moments.
Fred and George Weasley are a close second for being the clowns that they are and for making me laugh whenever they are on the screen.
Shoutout to Professor McGonagall as well. I always really liked her for some reason and she deserves more love.
What Is Your Favorite Book/ Movie From The Series?
I have always loved Goblet of Fire. I am also a big sports fan, so the Triwizard Tournament always gave me that World Cup/ Olympics feel. I loved the tournament aspect and enjoyed learning about the different Wizarding Schools.
What Is The Goal Of This Site?
The goal is to become the top website in the World that focuses only on Harry Potter quizzes and trivia. There are a lot of great websites out there but I think that I can provide visitors with the best possible experience. It will take time but I am committed to try and make it happen for my fellow Potter nerds!
