In Harry Potter fandom, there are a few different trios that exist. The most obvious one is the Golden Trio, which is comprised of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. They played a major role in the series and were the main characters. You might not know that there is also Silver and Bronze Trio’s (which we will explain more about later). The Golden Trio (Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger)
The Golden Trio is not something that was made popular in the books. This term is something that was put together from Harry Potter fans. This refers to Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. They are the three main characters of the series and play the biggest role in all of it.
The three best friends were able to fight and defeat Lord Voldemort. They definitely had help from others but they played the biggest part in his ultimate downfall. When you think of trios and Harry Potter, your mind should go to them first.

The Silver Trio (Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, and Ginny Weasley)
The Silver Trio is something that has been dubbed by Harry Potter fans. This is comprised of Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, and Ginny Weasley. While they didn’t play as big of a role in the series as Harry, Ron and Hermione, they still deserve their praise.
While The Golden Trio were busy chasing Horcruxes outside of Hogwarts, it was Neville, Luna, and Ginny who led the charge at Hogwarts and kept meeting with Dumbledore’s Army. Without them holding down the fort, the Golden Trio wouldn’t have been able to accomplish their goals.
Individually, Neville, Luna and Ginny are three of the most popular characters in the series. They are all unique in their own way, which has led to them receiving a lot of fan support. They don’t get the shine that the Golden Trio do but they are definitely worthy of highlighting and I think most fans would agree.
The Bronze Trio Or The Anti-Golden Trio (Draco Malfoy, Vincent Crabbe & Gregory Goyle)
The third trio is either called The Bronze Trio or The Anti-Golden Trio. In fan-fiction, it is made up of two different groups, both led by Draco Malfoy. It is either Draco, Vincent Crabbe, and Gregory Goyle or Draco, Pansy Parkinson, and Blaise Zabini. I went with Crabbe and Goyle because I think more of them with Draco than I do Pansy and Blaise but you can pick whoever you want.
This is more of a villainous trio because Draco and his gang are considered to be the villains/ bullies of the series. While saying that, Draco has become an extremely popular character in his own right. J.K Rowling has said that she blames Tom Felton for turning Draco into a heartthrob as that was never her intention when writing the character. If you got this trio on this quiz, it is probably because you are a massive fan of Draco Malfoy.
