Harry Potter Broom List

These are all of the options that you could have gotten on our quiz.

Cleansweep Eleven

The Cleansweep Eleven was the broom that was used by Ron Weasley when he played Keeper for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. It was made by the Cleansweep Broom Company. It was noted in the Order of the Phoenix book that the handle is made from Spanish oak and Ron received one of them as a gift from his parents after being made a Prefect.

Comet 260

The Comet 260 was a broom that was used by Cho Chang when she played for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team.  It was also one that was owned by Nymphadora Tonks and she used it during the Order of the Phoenix to help transport Harry Potter from Pivet Drive to 12 Grimmauld Place. It was created by the Comet Trading Company. Its predecessor, the Cleansweep One, was the first broom that was designed for sports.

Along with the Cleansweep 11, the Comet 260 is one of the lesser known brooms from the series. As compared to the other three at least.

Firebolt

The Firebolt was a broom that was used by Harry Potter. This came after he received it as a gift from Sirius Black in 1993. Harry used it during the very first task of the Triwizard Tournament where they had to face the dragon. In Deathly Hallows, it was revealed that Harry had lost Firebolt while in the Battle of the Seven Potters.

If you were to poll fans about what the most popular broom is in Harry Potter, this would probably be the answer.

Nimbus 2000

The Nimbus 2000 was a broom that was used by Harry Potter. He received one as a gift from Professor McGonagall after he joined Gryffindor as their new Seeker in his first year. It was created by the Nimbus Racing Broom Company. Harry’s model ended up getting destroyed by the Whomping Willow.

Like the Firebolt, it is one of the most popular broomsticks from the series and one of the best known ones.

Nimbus 2001

The Nimbus 2001 was a broom that was used by Draco Malfoy. This came after he became the Seeker for Slytherin House. Lucius Malfoy bought the entire Slytherin team Nimbus 2001’s for the Quidditch season. Just like the 2000 model, it was created by the Nimbus Racing Broom Company.

While it is the newer model, Potter fans will likely be much more familiar with the 2000 model as it was owned by Harry.
